Enough with the political discussions and theological debates. Let's look at some guns (we sure can't afford to actually SHOOT them so we may as well LOOK at them).
For some reason I keep winding up with matched pairs of handguns. Seems like after searching for a particular model for a long time I find two of them and I can't resist the urge to buy both.
Spent 15 years looking for a shooter grade Model of 1926 44 Special and stumbled onto two within a week of each other.
After 20 years looking for a 5" 1950 44 Special Target Model a dealer offered this pair and I bought them both.
Found a 2" M&P at a show tagged at $210. Had to take it home. A month later I found its twin at another show for $200. Turned out they were shipped within a few weeks of one another but in different directions. One went to Los Angeles and the other to NYC.
Anyone else gathering pairs of pistols?

I don't recognize some of the accoutrements. In the top left corner, what's the tool for? And the item next to it? Also, what's the item in the opposite corner and the cylindrical item in the middle of the case? Just curious. I feel kinda stupid, but it is late! I figured out the extra stocks and magazines on my own!

Top left: Sight adjustment tool.
The item next to it is just a little box that contains a spare firing pin and a few other small items (the space is actually intended to hold a 10 round box of ammunition). The cylindrical item is a cleaning kit and the lower right corner contains the magazine loader.
This is a BAR that my father bought new unfired over 30yrs. ago. I only saw it once growing up he never fired it.
Two years ago dad called me up for my birthday and asked me for my FFL transfer dealer he had a present for me. When I picked this up I became nervous, I thought he must be sick or dying to have sent this rifle to me. I called him and asked what was going on, he explained that he was fine just never could bring himself to shoot something so beautiful and as he was getting older he didn't want it to get into the wrong hands. He asked me for a range report. Yes sir, you bet I shoot it!
I never take this one boating!
Very nice present!
Nice indeed.
The two shotguns on top were both of my Grandfathers My cityboy grandfathers Sears&Roebuck 500 and my country grandfathers mod.12 under 700,000 ser.#
the mauser in the middle as well as the p38 and the little femaru were sent back from my Grandpa Tacconelli, they were liberated on d-day from Normandy I also have the war trophy paperwork from his corp
He was in the motor pool and landed on the beach in the third wave(dads story, never got to talk to grandpa about it) to begin unloading
trucks and heavy equip.
This was from my grandpa then handed to my dad and then me and now my son. My son Pietro wanted to refinish the stock. Cool we are all named Pete and we all refinished the stock when we got it.
Here are a few boxed guns.
