Bob Clampett went on to develop Beany and Cecil, an animated version of the show, in 1959 . The initial Beany and Cecil cartoons were released theatrically in foreign markets by United Artists, including Canada and Australia. the year i was born, and it was a puppet show from 1949 till 1955

It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

It sucked, but I remember it.

The Mythelogical creature that haunts Walker Lake, Nevada is named for Cecil and has his own float in the annual Armed Forces Day parade in Hawthorne, Nevada.

He's way cooler than the cartoon Cecil.
