Meet Watson

In another post the subject of Artificial Intelligence came up and comments made.
Some of us here are more than happy with the computers we use and how well they function for their size and how well they perform.
Lets assume for a minute that IBM is the top dog in computers and as such has a computer that will blow anything we might have out of the water.
Well, meet Watson and check out what he has going for himself.
Cut n paste.
The Watson supercomputer processes at a rate of 80 teraflops (trillion floating-point operations per second). To replicate (or surpass) a high-functioning human's ability to answer questions, Watson accesses 90 servers with a combined data store of over 200 million pages of information, which it processes against six million logic rules. The device and its data are self-contained in a space that could accommodate 10 refrigerators.
Impressive don't you think. The Jeopardy Champions that he defeated thought so and from what I've been able to discern, there is a tipping point in the future where Watson will be able to think for himself to the point that he can and will mimic the way the human brain functions but will have the advantage of practically knowing everything there is to know.
Consistently updating new data with the ability to check and cross check data and discard faulty data that "doesn't compute".
Rather than go on about this, those interested need to google Watson computer and be amazed. Here's a link to start with.
