Red Tail Hawk PICS

I was fishing at a local conservation area yesterday and as usual had a camera in the truck with me.
When I arrived there was a beautiful Bald Eagle in the middle of the lake on a partially submerged tree. I was bummed as I could not got my camera up and on him before he took off....
About thirty minutes or so later, this fellow came along and landed
in a tree within 40 yards of my fishing spot. I shot over 200 pics of him.
This shot occurred after I watched him drop out of the tree and land on a mouse and eat it. I have a group of really decent pics of him but this is one of my favorites......

This shot was taken later when he was resting in a tree after his meal !!

we have some around here when they fly over the chickens run for cover[:D]
Glad I am not a mouse.
Chicken killers......BANG!
I have 24 hens and a rooster. For the past few years a red tailed hawk has nested near the hens penned in day-use field. Today the big hawk was on a fence post 75 yards from the chickens.
The hawks have never bothered the chickens. * and possums are sometimes an issue but we have never lost a chicken to a hawk.
Lost 5 hens and 2 roosters to hawks
I hope I don't lose any but if I do, SSS.
