Who needs college graduates soon anyway. With artificial intelligence soon on the horizon and coming to the technological singularity where all humans are basically equal compare to The All Knowing A.I.entity that scientist clamors for to create.

The first nation state that does complete this project will think they are the world leader in all things! It may be sooner that you think The Chinese government is way ahead of the rest of the world in Quantum Computers and the internet then the next conclusion is an entity connected to it. Don't you Think?

    serf
China is trying to spearhead the quantum computing revolution. It is believed that the quantum internet will allow massive stores of data to be transmitted in a nearly un-hackable manner.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity

The technological singularity (also, simply, the singularity)[1] is the hypothesis that the invention of artificial superintelligence will abruptly trigger runaway technological growth, resulting in unfathomable changes to human civilization.[2] According to this hypothesis, an upgradable intelligent agent (such as a computer running software-based artificial general intelligence) would enter a 'runaway reaction' of self-improvement cycles, with each new and more intelligent generation appearing more and more rapidly, causing an intelligence explosion and resulting in a powerful superintelligence that would, qualitatively, far surpass all human intelligence

didn't know one could get a degree and graduate with a cirriculum of disrespect and bad attitude...should mail "diplomas" to those that went into reverse....probably the direction their lives will take from this point anyway unless they get loads of welfare

Woe is the day when people can't peacefully make political statements. I may not agree with their stance, venue, or timing, but they are certainly entitled to the views they choose to espouse. Who am I to silence them for standing up for that which they believe, so long as they do it peacefully?

I dare say these folks have a lot more guts than a lot of the keyboard commandos I see on this forum. [xx(]

I saw no effort by government officials to silence them.

They absolutely have every right to stand up for what they believe without government interference.

I also have the right to make fun of them ceaselessly without government interference. That's how freedom works.

Rather than meaningful , well thought out protests, this strikes me as petulant, classless whining and false victimhood. If I believed any one of them could articulate an argument in opposition to what Devos was speaking about, I might be convinced to elevate my opinion of their actions. Based on what the left has been spouting on college campuses for the last few years, I am not holding my breath.

i have never seen you skirt around an issue like this before, you are usually articulate and precise

honestly, after the past few years of civil disobedience, unrest and riots at the drop of a hat, taking a knee during the national anthem , you cant place your finger on why they did this ?

being there has been no recorded explanation it is pretty easy to surmise the cause, just like when a crime is committed and the media leaves out the race of a wanted person

the woman has not been in office long enough to warrant any prejudiced from anyone

Fair point. And I'm not a big Betsy Devos fan. At the same time, the school INVITED Devos to come speak, she flew all the way down there, and they treated her like crap. That's a mighty rude move.

I imagine it will be a cold day in hell before ANYBODY is willing to speak at Bethune-Cookman again.

The graduates that are turning their back will be running the Government (________) Office you are forced to use to get (__________) which you paid for and are supposed to get. They will make sure your file gets lost, deleted or denied because they can and you are white.

They are indeed showing their * and the * are quite humongous for the young age they are.

    Dear Mr. Perfect.
If a person won't listen to another persons point of view they don't even know what they are protesting. Intelligent people will listen to others points of view.
I think they got what they wanted. They got in the news. They won't make it to the Miss universe contest that's for sure.

I wish Whether permit asked me for a job, I wouldn't show my *, but I'd show them the door with an explanation why.

By the way it wouldn't be a political reason, it would be because I wouldn't want anybody working for me that could be that rude
