About 2 months ago I bought a new truck http://forums.gunbroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=542565&SearchTerms=Truck
The truck has the 5.7 liter V-8 and its very nicely equipped.
I had been hearing a sound when driving easy around 35-45 mph. Otherwise nothing and the truck was great.
My license plates showed up at the dealer so when I stopped in to pick them up, they said
"That's probably your torque converter, most of the 2011's recieved torque converters that were machined out of tollerance causing an annoying but otherwise harmless noise just as you describe".
Needless to say a new torque converter and parts are on order and the dealer will be installing them for me next week.
I am fairly shocked they would sell a vehicle this way and not make it right before it left the dealer.
The dealer is being good about it, but that is certainly not the point.
Just wanted to pass my expierience along, your milage may vary. They say it has been fixed on the 2012's.
Proceed with anticipated Dodge bashing...

Now people can bash Chevys, too!
Now people can bash Chevys Government Motors, too!
I have a '98 S-10 Blazer with 150,000+ miles on it. It needs 2 u-joints and the dealership won't replace them under warranty. Damned rip-offs!![:D][:D]

I have a pre 'Government Motors' 2004 Avalanche with 115K on it.
Just did the u-joints BTW,......they were squeaking a bit in reverse at low speed.
Have to replace my parking brake cable as well. It finally broke at the pedal location 2 days ago.
Yes,.....I use my parking brake by habit even in Florida.
Short of that, everything has been normal maintenance and she looks close to new still.[:)]

I really have nothing to complain about....not bad for 15 years old in NNY.
one of my work toyota pickups, the heater knob broke, its only got 257,00 on it. Dealer won't cover it. If anything else fouls up, its gone.
