wheel of fortune FINISHED

I've been tasked to make a couple carnival games by the wife. She needs a wheel of fortune kind of thing. And at no cost or at least very little cost.
As you can see below, I've pretty well got that whipped with some lumber I had in the shed.
But I need a way to make the pointer "boing" against the stoppers. I'm going to use bolts for the stoppers around the wheel. Figured I'd just make a pointer out of plywood.
I just can't really find anything around here that makes my brain go "A-Ha!"
Anybody got any ideas?

you just need a torsion spring. Slip it over the bolt you use to attach the pointer, anchor one side to the pointer, and the other to the non-spinning frame.

For a more realistic Wheel, make sure you add in a means to control the rate of spin and stop the wheel as appropriate.[;)]

dry wall screws for stoppers (if the plywood is thich enough) and a short piece of "metal banding" for the "boing"

Ok, I got it. Thanks for stimulating my brain.
It's a little over-engineered. Maybe that's the German in me!
I used a spring that looked like it was probably out of an ATV recoil starter.
I'll get some bolts for the stoppers, coat of paint and I'm a hero for a day.

    Now it's on to Plinko!

Well, I got the wheel of fortune finished. Here's the final product.

Then I started on a plinko game.

    And here it is finished.

I'm not quite ready to give woodshed a run, but it all turned out really well. But the carnival, scheduled for today, qas postponed/cancelled due to weather. So my games may be in storage. Oh well. I got them finished by the deadline and Mrs h was impressed. And that was my real motivation anyway! [;)]
She did mention something about thinking up some other games for me to build....
