And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Banana is my favorite.

malt
Plain vanilla malt. That's just how I am.
...Me too. I might have two or three per year, but always ask for extra malt. If I make my own, I add extra vanilla and malt. Use the best ice cream that money can buy. It's not something that we keep around the house.
No use for icecream this time of year.
I love chocolate, but if my stomach is
acting up, I go with vanilla.
the dude abides
We have a regional chain called Burgerville that does some excellent seasonal shakes.
I live in Oregon and am very familiar with B-ville and I don't think that they even offer malts. If you get a chance go to DQ and get a vanilla malt and see the difference[:p]quote:Originally posted by LaidbackDan
I honestly don't believe I have ever had a malt.

Now if you want a great Shake I-5 LCC Exit what they call Gasoline alley(even if its just 2 stations) One has a real small Restaurant attached. Best Black Walnut shakes around.

According to the Food Timeline, the malt was first created in the U.S. in 1887. A combination of malted barley, dried milk and wheat barley were added to milk and shaken. The shakes were used as nutritional substitutes for infants and the infirm.
Types
Today, the popular drinks are offered in many flavors, varieties and consistencies. Milkshakes are available at most restaurants and fast-food eateries. However, there is a difference between a malt and a shake.
Malts
A traditional malted milkshake is made from real ice cream, whole milk, malt powder or liquid, and flavoring or fruit.
Shakes
A shake contains the same ingredients as the malted milkshake, minus the malt flavoring. Both the traditional malt and shake are mixed on a spindle mixer.
Considerations
Shakes sold at a fast-food restaurant, such as McDonald's, are made with soft-serve ice cream, shake mix, and flavoring. The shake is pushed through a frozen dispenser
I'm open to learning more, just have not as yet had any other malts that got my attention. [:0] [;)] [:0]
