    Not following this. Yahoo Finance shows nothing of the kind for USO. Still down 1% from a year ago and gained under 5% last 24 hours.

    Is the USO you are talking about?

    I buy options, not the actual stock. In red is today's change. It's extremely volatile though, it might be way down in 2 hours.

    Buy the way, don't get notion that I think I'm some big high roller. I actually lost my butt on USO up until just a few months ago. At this point I'm about breaking even, and I haven't invested very much money in this.

    Cardboard is usually a 3-6 month leading indicator of the directional movement of the economy.

    When companies project a change in their sales, either up or down, they tend to change their orders for cardboard for packaging and shipping. That shows up in the pipeline months before the actual retail change occurs. Watching the companies that produce cardboard and paperboard is always a good idea if you want medium range indicators.
