Does anyone like this pistol? I have a chance to purchse one for $500.00 - excellent condition, which is a good price.
Haven't ever owned any H&K products - they always seemed overpriced to me, but they do have a good reputation. It looks to be a nice carry piece. Only fired it with FMJ ammo. Are they reliable with HPs?
Appreciate any imput.
Thanks
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

I have the P7 PSP, a West German Police surplus pistol. It's in really great shape (90%+), and came with the case, test target, owners manual, etc.

I paid $35 for an extra mag.

IIRC I paid $600. It has the bottom mag release, which kind of sucks.

The trigger is VERY light. The squeeze cock works well.

I like mine, but I wouldn't use it as a carry piece. JMHO.

One of the finest handguns ever made. $500 is a great price if it's in any decent condition at all.

Gotta love the safety without a safety design. I LOVE them as a carry gun! Kinda heavy compared to today's polymers, but it is a damn good gun.

I have fired hollow point ammo through mine without failure...

i had a psp, it was accurate and reliable with all ammo
too heavy and reloads suck compared to other pistols

great pistol, though and the excellent PSPs sell for 650 now with 2 mags

be advised mags run $70 each

if that happens to be an m8, that is less than 1/2 price
    also safe with +p ammo

Fantastic gun. Natural aimer. Hard to miss the target. It'll also fire anything you feed it. At $500 you should really buy while wearing a mask cause you are stealing it.

I would love to have another one... What's your friend's name, phone number, and the best time to contact him? [:D]

M8's, M10's, and M13's, are just going to go up in value. There are no more to be imported, AFAIK. And, they are considered to be one of the best pistols ever made. Let's see, sounds like a recipe for a good investment, I'd say. [;)][8D]

While I'd rather have a blued M13, I'm happy to have the one that I do.

As far as eating HP's, P7's should eat about anything.

    Feels like a brick.

More accurate than you will ever be.

Gets hot from the goofy gas-retarded action (hence the plastic heat shield on M8s and M13s, most PSPs don't have them)

good luck if you ever break it.

Don't ever send it out to refinish to someone who doesn't know them, because something will get broken.
