M240 Magazine

Found an unmarked magazine for what I believe is an M240. few pics here.

Looks an awful lot like an M249 box.

Ours was belt fed straight from the ammo can!

It does appear to be a M249 box mag.

Can't be described as a "magazine" since it doesn't actually control the feed of the ammo-it only holds and contains the belt.

That is a 200 rd box for the M249. It holds a 200 rd belt. Here is one mounted on a M249 ParaSaw

Not only is it a 200-rd drum for an M249 SAW, it's also for blanks. Notice the ribbing on the front compared to the one in the picture of a SAW being fired.

You cannot put live ammo in that drum. It just plain won't fit.

from what i remember the 240 did not have a drum or pork chop. Only 249s had pork chops and nut sacks

nice picture of an airsoft M249...

The box in the pic is restricted to blanks only. Hence the long lines down the side, you cannot fit live ammo in it.
