Been a year today, I lost my hero. Always had the answer to any question, and it was the right answer. Grandpa was a legitimate "know it all."
I still remember the military honors at his funeral.. He would have been proud. USS COLAHAN DD-658.

    RIP Jake's PawPaw...

Jacob... We ALL have had individuals in our lives that would resemble your PawPaw...
Great people they surely are... and very much missed, just as Greatly.

I have a feeling he is fine... perhaps it is you who needs to find the peace?

I know you are thankful for having had a "know it all" in your life. I don't agree with retroxler58, so many in todays society have never had that special someone to help guide them.

It sees to me, you were very lucky to have such a fine and wise man in your life for so long, Jake.

I never met either of my Grandfathers and I'm sure my life is much poorer for it.

Hope your day goes better than it started.

I am at peace with it. I was by his bedside on his last stretch. He was just an all around awesome person.

I was raised by my grandmother and lost her a few years ago. I still miss her every day. Time will heal your loss and Iam sure he is looking down on you right now Jacob with a great big smile.

As long as you remember, he will never be lost.
