I get 150 oxycontin and 150 oxycodone a month. What would be a better pain med. They dont seem to be doing much anymore. Either i am in more pain or im used to the pain meds. I put a pain patch on and could not tell a difference. Thanks David

I have to quite taking oxycontin because when i went to get them they were 315 dollars for 60 30 mg. I had been paying 48 in Dec. I got my oxycodones filled. What can i take to replace the oxycontin. I was thinking morphine time release or 30 mg of oxycodone 6 times a day. Any ideas?

first, make sure you're on generics. if you're paying purdue for their brand, you're doing it wrong.

if you're on generics, then you're in trouble. mscontin will work, maybe, but probably not as well.

basically anything you need is going to get pricey. i would investigate state sponsored prescription programs, and any other benefits that may bring down the bill. have AAA, that will help.

I pay $360.52 for 180 30Mg. Oxycodone. 6 per day but,I get them from a "mom n pop pharmacy because they ALWAYS HAVE THEM WAITING FOR ME.
Walgreens is about 1/2 the price but,It may take you 4 hrs, and 30 stores to find them. Then, if they look on their computer and you havn't been getting them there for a few months, they just blow U off and say "WE DON'T HAVE THEM RIGHT NOW".
It's all scewed up.Dr's are writing scripts to folks with friggin hangnails, the folks who REALLY need them can't get them.[:(!]

I tried all those avenues...U get a discount on ANYTHING BUT oxycodone...
Now,If you're a welfare case, it's another story. The Pharmacies can get double the actual cost from medicade. The bums on welfare pay ZERO for their scripts.[V]

i have personally used my aaa card to significantly reduce the cost of oxycodone. every case is different it would appear, but to say it cant be done is not accurate.

Ask Your Doctor about a Pain Med. called Avinza.
It is a time release Morphine Capsule.
I take one 60 mg. Capsule a Day and it works great.

try to find a coupon online. My wife takes Maxalt, my copay went from $25 for 3 pills to $90 on the 1st. She found and printed out a coupon and got them for free. One coupon a year I think.

I bet your insurance flipped somehow. I know with my plan as of jan 1st i can no longer use walgreens and had to switch to rite aid. If you have to pay full price call the manufacturer and see if they will give you your meds for free and the doctor can sign the papers for you. Good luck Dave as it is tough to be in constant pain as some of us are.

Don't know much about pain meds, but I searched some info in hopes it will help you out Dave. It seems from what i was seeing, that a combination of treatments including anti-depressants and different meds is more effective than pain meds alone. Hope you find relief soon.

wish I could live without pain killers. I know my liver is paying the price, that is why I take milk thistle. So far my liver is fine.

You pay more to compete with Obama care and the drug cartels. Prescription pain pills are a HUGE profit center for the government (war to protect supply lines) and all the middle men in the pipe line.
