Got to see them live back in the 90's down at Lakewood. It was a Bluesfest, BB King was the headliner. Great show.

Saw them a few years back at a local bar/theater. They still sound good. Most of the show could have been lifted from 'Waiting for Columbus'.

Great Lowell George song. But as a trucker I get a kick out of songs written about truckers by non truckers. Tucson to Tucumcari really isn't that far to a real trucker. Same with Tehatchapi to Tonopah.
Go blowing your horn in a truck stop about how experienced you are with these runs and you'd get laughed out of town.

Yes, fatstrat, the runs are short, but the alliteration is great! He's a poet, not a truck driver.

Thanks for reminding me. I frequent Tonopah. Atleast the Mizpah is open again.

Man, I just stopped by for a couple minutes and the next thing I know its three hours later and I been watching Little Feat footage from the seventies. I got hit in the face with a Lowell George thrown marocca at a show and it still feels good!

I been warped by the rain
    Driven by the snow
I'm drunk and dirty, don't ya know
And I'm still, oh, I'm still
I'm out on the road late at night
I see my pretty Alice in every headlight
    Alice, Dallas Alice .......

    Great Song !!!
