My 66-1 has been shot a lot over the years and it certainly looks newer than this one...
Or am I missing something

Both ends.
I would like to see a good photo of the cylinder.
Both ends.
Its funny there's pictures of everything but the cylinder.
Seems his buyers vouch for his product and descriptions , so either none of them know anything about what they received or he's good for his word.
If anyone is that worried about him, his product and a possible misrepresentation why not email him for those pics?
Everyone should check his feed back, almost a thousand sales since 2003,and only 3 negative feed backs?

Because that wouldn't create drama on the forum.
I think we should rename the General Discussion forum to the General Drama forum.
Chill.
New Old Stock(NOS)
As New in Box(ANIB)
Used with Box and all tools/paperwork
But its not New in Box at least to me.
Just my opinion and its worth what you paid for it[:D]
It cannot be New in Box because it is old. It could be:

It is listed as NOS, but with the amount of perceived wear, cylinder rings etc., that seems to be a high rating.
Good pictures of the cylinder and the throat and muzzle would be helpful.

Must have been handled a whole lot [xx(]
Have a 66-1 in the night stand that looks twice as good as it [^]
Screws are bunged up, not just drag lines, but marks on edges of cylinder notches indicate some use.
Not a bad 66, but certainly not NIB.
I have 3 New Smith and Wesson .357 WV State police commemorative revolvers that have never been fired. They all have a drag line on the cylinder.
Did you buy yours from the same guy? [;)]
My 66-2 has a million miles logged on it riding in a cop's holster and who knows how many times it's been fired. I will have to say mine was in pretty bad condition when I purchased it but a couple of hours on the buffing wheel and some new grips brought her back to life. Compared to his $1,495 buy it now price it makes my gun at $137 bucks including the grips look even better.

I did, he had 12 of them. You think he shot them all? Looks awful shiney where the drag line should be on that one, Maybe he also polished yours out???[:D]

If you want to just look at one thing look at the bunged screw slots in the sideplate. Or the beat up grips.
S&W usually fires every other chamber. That's why a new one should have three rings on the end of the cylinder, which is not shown here.
Doesn't matter to me. I'm just agreeing with the OP that it does not look NIB to me. Although having the original box is nice. Yup.
Used...
I agree but just enjoy stirring sh**!
