Recently bought a used amt 380 back up for concealed carry.Took it out and run a box of fmjs thru it with no problems.Other than it being a little hard on the hand i love this little pistol and its easy to conceal.Just wondering what others may have to say about it.Good or bad.

I like mine, but don't really trust it with hollowpoints, it was never 100% reliable with any HP I tried, so I keep it loaded with Glasers. PMC Starfire HP's worked the best, but are hard to find now.

I worked for a guy a few years ago had one. I tried buying it from him, he wouldn't sell it for anything.

I had an AMT DAO for a while, kept it in a wallet holster before they became AOW. It was hard on the hand, but was an excellent shooter. I thought the lack of a safety would bother me, but the long trigger pull makes the pistol pretty safe.

After they outlawed my wallet holster, it became a little heavy for me as a carry gun, and I traded it in on a Beretta Tomcat.

Carried the Tomcat .32 for a few years, and then bought a Autuaga .32, which is a Seecamp clone.

That was the smallest and lightest pistol I'd carried, but T got worried about the knockdown of the .32. I still have it - and sometimes carry it as a hidden backup with my carry gun.

Finally ended up with a Rohrbaugh R-9, which was the smallest 9mm made as my carry gun. It's harder on my hand than the AMT was, but in a pinch I've got a little more power -- and man does it throw a fireball when fired, especially at night!

I have the .380 single action. It's my hot weather carry gun. Loaded with Cor-Bon safety slugs. I like it just fine.

Other than the fact that it requires the use of tools to field strip, it is a good little pistol.

Was just looking at one in the case at a pawn shop yesterday. May have to go back for a closer look.

Almost bought a NIB Keltec P32 for $219. Forced myself to leave the store.

I shot one in .380 ages ago, I remember it seemed to snap on recoil a bit more than my current LCP, maybe because it wasn't the most ergonomic gun made. The owner said it was reliable with any 90-gr FMJ, which is what I shot it with. If you found a good one, you won't be disappointed.

good little gun in my opinion. great pocket gun, never had feeding issues with it, but I did polish the feed ramp with some fine steel wool when I got it since it was carboned over by the prior owner. I have used golden sabers, XTP's, fmj, without any problems and only a few problems using lead semi wadcutters that have a rather large shoulder but once I figured the right OAL to load it to no issues since.the internals are stainless as well (atleast on mine) which is a real plus for a carry gun that'll be exposed to sweat.
