Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

In the right hands, ABSOLUTELY. In the wrong hands, only to himself.[B)]

When they first introduced the "Assualt Weapon ban" years back part of the ban was any firearm capable of firing with bayonet attatched. Pretty much sums up my Brown Bess. [:D]

Any gun, knife, hammer, ice pick, car, tire iron or baseball bat can be an assault weapon.

I seem to remember about fifteen years or so ago, Massachusetts passed a law that required trigger locks. If I remember the story right some wag in the State Legislature wanted them to put a trigger lock on a flintlock long gun that was used at Bunker Hill or Lexington that hangs in one of the Legislative chambers.

I don't know if it was done or not.

It all depends on whose definition of what an "assault weapon" is you are using.

I believe that some colonists and their British overlords might have thought so at one time or another.

Anything that I am being assaulted with, is an assault weapon to me.

Perhaps we should initiate a verbal haranguing ban.

10 random things that are an assault weapon:
    assault paper
    assault spoon
    assault gerbil
    assault licorice
    assault tire
    assault lightening
    assault window
    assault calculator
    assault spaghetti noodle
    assault tent

The more things we label "assault" the more meaningless the term becomes.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a nice lady who was a fellow school board member, at a school board meeting when we were discussing school polich on weapons in schools. I asked her to define weapon. When she could not come up with an answer, I picked up my balpoint pen, took her hand, and explained that if I stabed her in the hand with it, it became a weapon. I also explained that if I stabed her in the chest with it, I could kill her. Then I asked her if we should ban balpoint pens from the schools. She finaly got the point. Sadly, too many people do not seem to understand and let their emotions rule. We may be screwed because of tnis.
