Hey do you like the .45 acp round in a 1911?
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

I was unimpressed by the performance of the 230 ball load the one time I used it in a real gunfight. Armed felon took 4 rounds to the torso and still ran 50 yards before collapsing from blood loss.
But the 45 ACP will put a full bigfoot on the ground if you just wing him in the thumb, won't it?
I would say unless the armed felon was running towards you, the round stopped the threat just fine.
Personally, I prefer 30 rounds of 5.56, but a pistol will do as a method of keeping their heads down while I go for the rifle.

My uneducated guess is that ANY ball round would have had the same effect on that particular perp, unless it was a .50 BMG round. I have full faith in the .45. But like I always say, I'm not an expert.

doc. i would like to know details. as this is not in green font. so you know of someone that shot 4+ .45 and they were able to run 50 yd. did they survive. did you fire 4 or more>
