I just got this of this morning's show prep. I apologize if it has been posted before. But it looks like, in Minnesota at least, lawmakers are coming down on the side of personal responsibility for once.
Cheeseburger Bill
Don't blame McDonald's or Burger King for your gut. That's the gist of the "cheeseburger bill" approved by a State House panel in Minnesota. The measure would block consumers from suing fast food chains and other food companies for their weight problems. If passed into law, consumers couldn't blame industry for those extra pounds caused by super-sized fries, burgers or soda. Advocates say the so-called cheeseburger bill would prevent frivolous lawsuits. The bill would not bar lawsuits from negligence or mishandling of food. The Personal Responsibility in Food Consumption Act was first introduced in 2004.

There's a serious problem when common sense must be legislated.
Legislators doing what legislators do. They legislate. In the hope some feckless constitute will notice it and be pleased.
