    An awesome testimony to the durability of Browning's design.

    Also a testimony to the embarrassing "neutrality" of the Irish in the 1940s. They so hated the British, they sat out WWII -- and made good money off both the Allies and the Axis. The fact that this pilot sat out two years of WWII in an Irish prison is inexcusable.

    IMHO, this was a brutal excavation. Not the careful archeological dig it should have been.
