The local Catholic church holds Friday all you can eat walleye meals through Lent. It is usually pretty good.Fried walleye, baked potatoes , and cole slaw. I didn't go last week but I heard they were packed. I'm going to go early tonight and stay ahead of the crowd.

I'd probably pay double. Catholic guilt, and all that. [;)]

Stuffed with walleye! Feels good. Hundreds of people standing in line when I left. Showing up right at the start paid off today. No waiting.

We don't get walleye locally. Whenever we go to Minnesota to visit family (a couple times a year), walleye is about all I eat. Sounds like a great event.

The ELKS do the fish and Boy Scouts and church members do all the other prep and serving. They have a pretty good system down. I believe this is my 4th year attending. I'm not Catholic and don't attend services there but I'm actually starting to recognize some people I have talked to and ate with on previous trips. Have even run into others from the community that I knew from other events. Makes the town seem smaller.

Me and the Ms. went out for a fish fry, she had the cod dinner and I had the pound of shrimp.[^][^][^]
