I bought a riding mower last week and asked for a military discount. They told me i could get 10% off if i bring my id back.

So today i bring my receipt and id and she was giving me my 10% off. She asked me if she could ask me a personal ?. I told her sure. She asked if my scars were from my service to my country. I told her no that was cancer.

She was going to try and knock off 5% more for me.[:)]

It's nice to know that there are still inherently good people in our world.

Last week Home depot told me they only give the discount two days a year, unless you are disabled?

I watched a man get denied his veteran discount at home depot, because they said they have never seen one like that before. The veteran said, " Because it is old. The manager said it looked fake. The vet said it is old, like me you ahole. I am old and so is the damn card. Were both past 70. Everyone in line started laughing. They gave him the 10% off after he showed it to all of us. We all shook his hand and thanked him. One lady asked if she could buy him a coffee. He said I would mam, but my wife would be none to happy. The lady said, ask your wife to go too. For one second there, I was sure proud of america.

I show them my discharge papers (got them from the office in the St. Louis area) and have never had a problem.
