Early one morning, an elderly retired gentleman yelled to his wife,
"Honey, come see what I created. It's an abstract panorama depicting the eight years of the Obama presidency!"

She yelled back, "Flush the damn toilet and come eat your breakfast."

Haha, funny, but let's face it, he was hack enough for the job and his ideas were not that radically different from the rest of the democrats.

Recessions come and go regardless of government intervention.

William Jefferson Clinton should get more credit for the recession than Obama because, starting around 1993, he used the government to pressure banks into giving a whole bunch of people loans they did not deserve and they defaulted and it all came to a head in 2008.

You actually have to go clear back to Carter and the Community Re-Investment Act of 1977. That's where/when the trouble began.
    Credit where credit is due.
Time to go create more art!!

The way I read it was, Carter's CRA didn't really have any teeth in it to force banks to lend to people they didn't want to lend to, but Clinton brought regulatory pressure to bear on banks in order to see that the loans started to happen.

Then the inevitable defaults happened and the global economy crashed.
