went there the other day to get a string for a recurve bow that i have. ask the employee to put the string on and when he did he cracked the limb. it is a fiberglass bow, and the crack is about 10 inches long. all he said was that it is cracked and no good now. i was really upset and didn't talk to a manager because i didn't want to make a scene. i sent the store manager an email today explaining the problem. now i just have to wait for a reply from the email and see what they are going to do about it. what do you think they should do.

We finally went to the Bass pro shop
they built in Hooksett Nh. I wanted to buy
some 22lr I saw that they had on the Web.
    Nada,kaputzski, they had none.Disappointing
except the for the fact that I got to walk
around the store. They have almost everything
I normally have to send for reloading stuff, shooting
accessories.Nice place.I liked their fish tank.
Anyway ,got home and was determined to buy 22 ammo
I finally found some Aguila and impulse bought it only
to read the description later that it is 20 grain stuff
    370 fps.I bought 500rds ,wasn't too happy after I read
the full description, but I was afraid that if I didn't grab it
the "sold out" sign would be there.[:I]

Bass Pro was pretty cool some years ago, not so much any more. They have a lot of items but most are over priced.

Have only bought there on sale items or with a gift card for adding a year to my NRA membership. Otherwise, yeah well stocked and huge variety but cheaper prices can be found on the internet, or other stores.

Agree the fish tank is pretty darned cool though. [:)]

I use that low powered stuff on the trap line. I'd take it off your hands at a "reasonable" price. Unfortunately, I'll bet my "reasonable" is well below your actual cost.

Usually they are high on ammo, very high. Last Nov they were cheaper on ammo than the Tulsa gun show and they had ammo I had not been able to find. Bought more ammo there than at the show. Also pick up the odd shirt or two. Most stuff is indeed overpriced.

    I've always considered them a "poor man's Cabela's"...or in another metaphor, a 40 watt bulb to Cabela's 100 watt.
