Answer your damn phone APP

I just heard on FOX News there is a soon to be on the market APP used to force people to answer the phone. If you call somebody using this APP the phone will ring even if it's on silence. It will continue to ring until you answer the phone and you can't use your phone for anything else until it's answered.

If anybody uses this APP for my phone from a distance of less than three thousand miles they won't need a phone. I'll answer the damned thing in person.
The road to hell is paved with COMPROMISE.

If that happens I will get rid of my phone and go back to a land line.

anyone using that on me would suffer repercussions. If my ringer is off, it is off for a reason.

Supposed to be for parents. The kids have to call back before they can use their phone again.

It sounds like the Selective Silence app. This allows certain callers, lets say your kids, to ring through even with your phone in silent mode. You select the phone numbers and you can also switch it off at will.

Forcing people to answer their phone by not allowing it to be used again (for anything) sounds wonderfully ominous. Good work, Fox News.

assuming this mode maybe be correct, the first 911 emergency call stalled resulting in injury, death, or damage will give the lawyers a whole new arena of income

It's an app. That means that unless you install it on your phone, it won't work. I can't install an app on my phone that will make your phone do something. The similar news item that I read was an app that a parent installs on his phone AND on his kid's phone, which working together will force the child to answer his dad's phone call by disabling whatever else the kid is doing until he takes the call. It was developed because if the kid was playing a game and his dad called, he didn't want to interrupt his game so he ignored his dad. That kind of ticks off dads btw.

So, don't go buying plane tickets to beat up random people just yet.
