    I'm glad to see a young lady exert her authority over an incompetent Police Officer...She should have fired him months ago...She is showing her abilities to run a large city with minimal problems...She is looking more like a Mayor than Rudy Giuliani.

    That's what happens when you work in a politically appointed position. Its not like the Mayor is going to take responsibility for any of this mess. Baltimore is not alone, enforcement and arrests are down across the entire country, Police morale is very low and it is reflected in the lack of enforcement. This should make liberals happy though, because the net effect for them is a lower crime rate in their statistics.

    Yes, they did. When a whopping 90% of the voter get the Mayor, and all associated electable reps, they should be ecstatic.

    I find it fascinating these people get everything they want politically and instead of being proud of their city, they destroy it.

    Somehow despite having everything their way, these sub-humans place blame on political opposition when in fact, none exists. But then again, I realize these type of people make up the base of the democrat party.

    ...this is why I moved to the country,and its 95% Anglo....The big cities have become cancerous...and will die from within , as business's move into the country side as well..the vermin will stay in the congested areas.

    She's simply trying to save her political a**, that's all. She hired the idiot despite his past record of failure in two cities and history of slapping wives/girlfriends around when he was upset. She's the one who ordered the police to give the rock throwers "...room to destroy" and sanctioned the "stand down" orders that led to the rioting. That cesspool needs to be drained completely. Batts was but one turd floating around the top. Unless you're up close and personal with that festering sore of a city you have no idea just how bad it really is.
    A member of the House of Delegates that I know stopped by yesterday and was asking the state of things in Bodymore. About an hour later she decided that she was "...shocked, completely shocked..." that she didn't have any idea how messed up the place really is. Unbelievable.
