I worked most all day and did real well. As my reward, and as my family is out of town, I decided to kill some time. The store is only 12 miles from the house.
I found primers and powder in stock and powder was on sale for $22#.
I stocked up real good!
Haven't bought either for over 2 years and still kept reloading.
I'm all set for the cool days of winter.

PS: I think we reloaders are in for a ride the next 18 months or so.

What type of powder? I found Unique for $28 and thought I'd hit the jackpot.

Topkick, what do you mean by" I think we reloaders are in for a ride the next 18 months or so"?
I am glad you have a store that close that carries stuff in stock.

I bought H335 IMR 3031 and BLC2 and CCI primers, none of which I haven't seen in a while. Couple of years perhaps. They did not have much pistol powder. They did have some Accurate powders that I don't use and don't know much about. They never had that before.

The POTUS announced another gun control effort this week and tensions are rising in several vibrant and colorful communities.
It's a feeling I get like I got in 2007 when I bought $3000 in primers, powder and bullets really cheap and stacked deep. This family shoots a fair amount and since then, I still have had a steady supply put back. I love reloading as much as I love shooting. Don't think prices or availability are going the right direction much longer. Lots of new reloaders are in the mix now. I met and visited with a few that I was able to help in the store. Nice guys, but technically my competition in gathering supplies. I still spent 30 min with them.

I learned, buy when you can and you usually won't be disappointed.

If you can afford it, buy when it's cheap. That has kept me shooting through this lean time.

Good job finding the goods! [:)]
