Recomended by one of the officers in the Hunting Club.
Looks like a good offer for returns.

Any users of Discover CC like it?[?]

If you use it, be sure and pay in full every month. Been doing it for years and we like the 5% promotional s they toss out on gas and other purchases.[:)]

Dropped Discover almost 30 years ago.

Paid my bill $ .25 short (made a mistake on the check) and they charged interest for all charges made that month in my next bill because it was not paid in full.

I asked them to reverse the interest charges, and they refused. They were within their rights as per the contract, so I paid off the card, and cancelled it.

I had a similar problem. I mailed my check before the due date, but it arrived after. They charged my penalties and upped my interest rate to a usurious level. I called to say please check the postmark, and they refused, saying they only go by when the check arrives. So I said to charge the post office the penalty, not me.

They got huffy. I got even by cancelling.

They've sent me occasional letters begging me to come back. I sent them all back with a big HELL NO written on the card.

Oh, that was also when I decided to start paying my bills online. I now pay them the day I get the statement, in full.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

I used to enter the payment upon the day I received the bill, and delay payment until the day before the payment was due.

I have since determined that the $ .0001 per dollar that I am saving over that 3 weeks is not worth the chance of entering the wrong pay date.

Yuppers to that, Don. I haven't paid a penny in credit card interest over the past five or six years.

I've had my Discover Card since 1988 and I like it. They give cash back on your purchases and disputes I've had with merchants have been quickly and cheerfully resolved. My account was hacked into a few years ago but Discover made the whole thing fairly painless.
Once they even sent me a $25 gift card for no reason other than I had been doing business with them for a long time.
They will charge interest on the entire statement amount if you don't pay the statement in full however so you need to be mindful of that.
I've had an excellent relationship with Discover Card over the years. It's the only credit card I use these days.

I recently made an electronic payment on my B of A card from another bank on a Wednesday night. It didn't go out until Friday & didn't show up at B of A until Tuesday just in the nick of time.
Best to allow plenty of time if you pay from a different bank.
That one would have hurt since I had just bought a new car & put as much as the dealer would allow on the card to get the rebate.

I have been a customer since 1989 and I really like it. I pay the balance off each month.

Discover is the worst credit card to have, if you have to have one.
