I went ahead and bought a plum crazy complete lower & Del-Ton complete upper spent all of 525 shipped. Should be light, now the dreaded wait on the brown truck.

Sweet...DTI will be pretty quick. Their customer service is great. I was very satisfied with my DTI experience. How much was each component? That sounds cheap even for DTI.

I ended spending more because I kept adding options to my DTI rifle kit...those add ons add up!

115 for the lower & 390 for the upper. Yeah its just a plain jane 16" M4 upper.

I haven't had any complaints on the exact same combo. DTI is adequate for most uses and better than many can shoot. I do have some concerns about the longevity of the PC synthetic(plastic) firecontrol parts. Just me, but I'd invest in a milspec metal trigger, disconector, hammer kit. Several of the ones I've had had problems with the bolt latch function. Very draggy and inconsistent but does improve with use.

I reckon it's the price....hard to find a conventional lower for $115 complete.

Well, I bought an upper and extra parts for $320, and had a plumcrazy lower for $150, that is an entire rifle for $470, not bad huh.

I had help from a desperate member here.

Were those designed for plastic or were they changed to plastic after being designed for metal?
