When I was a child, I thought as a child. But now that I am grown, I just wish I could act like a child and get away with it.

Where can I go for fair chase hog hunts, without spending several thousand dollars? Guided would be nice, but not nice enough for two grand.
I'd be looking for a two-man hunt, open to all weaponry (except a knife--I'm not that hardcore), and any kind of hogs. Help would be appreciated, especially first-hand experience. Thanks.

you can be king or street sweeper but everyone is going to dance with the reaper
However, we have no idea where to go. We have a week to 10 days for our trip. On the internet it looks like Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas are the best places to go. Driving from Green Bay, WI we would rather go to Oklahoma or Arkansas, but what is most important is to have a great time and maybe bring some meat home. There are so many places to go and we have no experience so we were hoping you we could get some help from all of you. Does anyone know of some good outfitters, guides, or hunting ranches to go to? We would also like to do a little fishing too. Our budget is around the $1500 each amount. We really appreciate your assistance.
From the way it looks, you'd need a semi trailer loaded with ammo to even put a dent in the population.
True. But it would still be fun.

That it would.[:D]
It'd take three weeks to load up that many M1 clips.[:p][:D]

Three weeks is the time it'd take if ya had help too.
I'm around Spartanburg SC. I could probably put you in contact with someone who wants the hogs off their land. Contact me if you are interested.
I might have to give you a holler sometime in the summer when I ain't got any college classes.
Edit: There's some coyotes around here I need to take care of too. But I ain't eating no coyote.
I usually hunt them just before or just after harvest and aim for a one or two year old Pig (female).
Anybody who plants Corn hates the suckers. They will root up a whole field to eat the seed corn in the spring. After the corn gets up around 5-6 feet, the Pigs will camp out right in the middle of the field. I've known guys who have put up electric fences and actually fenced the pigs in a Corn field.[:o)] We have let the dogs into a Corn field and had the pigs run around in circles for hours and never actually leave.
