Why does a blue one start 100.00 more than a pink one?

THAT IS QUITE EASY. The Blue Stock cost $150.00 more then the Pink.
The RUGER CUSTOM SHOP had the only BLUE HOGUE that I could Find.
and HOGUE told me that they were the only ones that had them, at that time.

Seriously, why would you think that a man or little boy for that matter would want a blue rifle? I'm not trying to be insulting, I just can't for the life of me figure how you could be sitting around one day and say to yourself "You know, I'll bet real men would really like a sissy blue 10/22 rifle and I bet they would jump at a chance to get one for five times what the 10/22 is worth".

If you choose to put large amounts of money and expensive parts on a relatively cheap rifle as a hobby that's fine (to each his own) but don't expect people not to see the pig through the lipstick.

If you really enjoy building guns and are hoping to sell them afterwards then build something that you may actually have a chance of selling

Although I personally think that the rifle is way expensive for a 10/22 (regardless of what was done to it), I do think that it's a quality job (except the stock). IMO, had the same rifle been presented with a really nice Walnut or Thumbhole stock, it would be more readily accepted by this crowd and would have severely reduced the ridicule factor for you.

Colorful rifles may appeal to children but how many kids get a $1400. Plinker?
I'm not trying to say that this is a just plinker only that there aren't many 6-10 yr. old competition match shooters.

Maybe I should show each Rifle with four stocks,HOGUE OM. Mc MILLEN
FIBERGLASS WALNUT, and Thumbhole Match, as Have all in hand.
On the Barrel I could show RED,GREEN, BLACK or STAINLESS,
On the Scope then I could show a $100.00 scope or a $1500.00 scope.
I have said serval time in in my adds that you can have them your way
    as it is your money.
ALL THAT I NEED IS FOR YOU TO TELL ME HOW THAT YOU WANT TO BUY IT.
AND THEN I WILL BUILD IT YOUR WAY.
    WHAT MORE CAN I DO?
I am not in this for money, but I am not going to lose money, if I can help it.
I am Retired and only do what I want,
