Only two that I see and they do not look to be original.

It's kind of a contest between that front sight and the trigger guard for most buggered up parts.

The trigger guard almost looks like a FITZ special job but from the other work I know that it just cannot be .More likely some one saw a real Fitz special and decided to try to copy it

I believe the defining feature of the Colt SAA Sheriff's model was the lack of an ejector. The grip and front sight would have looked like any other Colt SAA. Which would make this one originally a Sheriff's model, but after that custom work was done.

If it is a Fitz Special, that would explain the trigger guard and grip up to a point. J.H. Fitzgerald shortened barrels, rounded grips, opened up the trigger guards and bobbed down hammer spurs.

Did Fitz leave SAA hammer spurs completely original? The unmodified hammer spur doesn't seem to fit for a Fitz custom.

Could be somebody took a Fitz gun and messed with it, slapping on that front sight ramp, mis-matched dovetail blade and making a mess of the screw heads. Maybe replaced the hammer. Also looks as if the grips do not fit flat on the frame, or were loosely mounted in the photos.

No problem, buy it for $1000, send it to Turnbull for another $2000, and end the end you have a beautiful $250 gun that only cost $3000.

Plus has anyone seen a J.H. Fitzgerald single action? Seen many double actions from his time. My brother collects Colt Single Actions, none such as this in his safes.

Seen modern single actions done up with hammers bobbed down as much as possible, then deeply serrated or diamond checkered on the top.

Don't recall ever seeing an actual Fitz job done on an SAA?

Didn't mean to imply it was a real Fitz .I was guessing that Bubba saw one once upon a time and thought it would be cool to build one of his own.Not having a DA he used what was on hand and F%^&&%^&&* a real nice gun .All the real ones I have seen were topnotch work

There is a guy bidding $930 so he must like it.

As hard as I try to hate it...........the concept is kind of cool but the execution is off. The buggered up screws, the front sight and the poorly fitted stocks are too much for me.

    I'd give $100 for it.
Then change the grip frame, barrel, weld up another trigger guard, change the hammer, all new screws, then have a pretty nice shooter.

Always figured Fitz did his best work with a six pack or two in one hand and a Dremel in the other.......

I don't see anything wrong with those S-slot screws. [:D]
