Nope. Winter sucks. Nothing grows and swimming is unpleasant.

    Favorite time of year.

    Don't sweat working outside,
    No bugs,

No opening weekend/bluebird day hunters out there.

Would love to live in northern Minnesota , but no jobs up there.

Been looking forward to a winter for the last 13 years. Sadly it hasn't arrived yet since I moved to southeast Texas.

Even when I lived in Alaska I always looked forward to winter. Love the snow and cold weather. Nothing beats a blizzard outside and be warm inside with a bowl of tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwhich, and a good movie on!

Here in OK we used to have 4 seperate seasons. Each was very distinctly different from the other. Each had its own plus'. My favorite, Fall (Indian summer to some). The whole world was beautiful. Trees full of color, grass still green, morning air fresh and crisp, sunshine was mild, all God's critters were out and active, hunting seasons were opening and women were ah..you know..ah..well, horney!

As the years passed the seasone started losing their identity and began running over onto each other. Got harder to tell which one you were in on a daily basis. This past year winter didn't know what it was! Cold then hot. One day we got three inches of snow, next day it was sixty degrees, next day it was seventy-five! When spring got here and the redbuds and jonquals (yellow flowers) just started to bloom..BLAM! 30 degrees, high winds and five days of cold rain! After that we went directly into high temps. For the rest of the summer it was too hot and windy to enjoy fishing.

Now we're going into fall but the heat, lack of moisture and high winds have already knocked all the leaves off the trees before they had a chance to show-off their colors. Will Rogers sure said a mouthful over fifty years ago when he said, "If you don't like our weather here, hang around a minute, it'll change". I love the four seperate seasons...but not all in the same day!![V]

    Yep.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

My in-laws are all in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. I always imagined it would be gorgeous in the autumn there. I never could stand the humidity, though. Makes 30 degrees seem colder'n a well-digger's belt buckle.

Hard to look forward to winter with heating oil at $3.50-$4.00 a gallon.

Here in Kansas we need the snow to get * deep to a tall giraffe. But we'll be heading south for the winter. [:D]

But we do need the moisture.
