New Smith 66? Opinions?

Anyone? Doc? Whats the consesus on the new production 66? I wonder if they will make a 2 1/2 model?

I have not laid my hands on one yet.

    My opinion............. The Dammmmmmmmmmmm barrel is shrouded looks like a POS. It's not the 66 we grew up with. Heck I have to sell the sorry looking things.

    Have a 66-4 with 2 1/2" barrel I just bought. No lock, no MIM parts, and looks great.

    Plenty of old ones around in great shape. The one I found looked almost unfired.
