is the one you spend waiting for your backup while some pcp perp is trying to take you down and the baton is just not working.

No I think the longest minute of your life is just when your urologist starts your Prostrate Biopsy.[;)]

Except the guy was meth-ed up and based on radio recordings we were at it for 7.5 minutes before the first backup rolled up.

Don't know about the longest for you but, Mine was in Nam when I thought I saw movement out at about 50 yds. Fired a flare and there wer about 200- 300 VC a comming full on. I was in the wrong bunker, the m-60 was about 25 feeet to the left. Dam_ them guys had better wakeup soon and get out here and help me. Seemed like all slow motion with time stoped.
But in real time the guys were on their way when the flare poped.
Stopped all but 2 before the wire, and those two were a mess to get out of the wire.

Running 100 MPH on 4 lane undivided road when a drunk decided to pull off the sholder in front of me to make a U turn and then stopped covering both lanes. Figure I got it slowed down to abour 40 MPH when I hit him broadside. Thought I killed him. He was fine but I was realy pissed when I figured out he was totaly drunk.

Sitting in a LZ waiting to pop smoke and wondering where the hell the chopper is and you know the VC are on the way. A minute, at that particular moment, can seem like an hour. Especially when all the ammo you have left is one 7 round mag of 45ACP.

Longest 2 minutes of my life was getting robbed at gunpoint and the other was waiting for one of my twins to start breathing and let out her first cry, which thankfully she did.

Longest minute in my life was when a coworker I was working with pulled a S&W Model 19 and shot me in the parking lot outside of the office. Happened at about 4:30AM. Talk about slow motion. I can still see the fire coming out of the barrel very slowly. What was really strange was not hearing the sound of the shot at all. I didn't know I was shot for several seconds.

Longest minute of my life was going into the funeral home, and walking up to the casket Grandpa was laying in. Up to that minute, I didn't believe he was really gone. A lot of my happier days were laid to rest with him that day.[V]

When my ex wife of 18 years admitted to long term running around. I knew being married was going to be a thing of the past, and it was.
