US Supreme Court deals blow to labor unions

The Supreme Court has upended a decades-old precedent that allowed unions to collect fees from government employees, including those who were not actually part of the union.
The justices rules 5-4 that public sector unions may not collect mandatory fees from non-members.

I keep seeing this ruled 5-4 on just about everything.

Be thankful the last presidential election went the way that it did. 2020 will be just as important.
There are 3 Justices over 75 years old. I think 77 should be a mandatory retirement age for them as it is for most everyone else.
Stephen Bryer is 79
R-B Ginsburg is 85
Anthony Kennedy is 81
They need to go.
Like term limits this needs to be done to cut down on the "Swamp"!
.... I guess that does not matter as if you dont want to pay it, they cant force you to.[;)]
Now if this would also apply to non govt employees....
But dont count them out yet. The dems will always find a way to fund their endeavors.[:(!]
Gov workers have no right to organized labor...
These two phrases, "Gov't workers & Labor" are totally an oxymoron when used in the same sentence! [:0]
Gov workers have no right to organized labor...
Exactly, this is taxation without representation.
Regardless of the employees' concerns about communist support coming from their wages, the die was cast in this (d) run state.
The contracts were never ratified by employees, there wasn't even a vote taken; Everybody got to pay dues, non-union folk were charged "fair dues", ostensibly to cover Union expenses of "representing" them.
Two full years after the Union was forced upon them, the employees finally got to read the garbage in the contract.
No strikes.
No work/production slow-downs.
No grievances allowed; take it up with your supervisor.
Wages to remain static for 5 years.
Dues must be paid, or you are fired.
State Personnel Board had nothing to do with any of it.
Why do employees need a contract for that?!
Gov workers have no right to organized labor...
They shouldn't have the right to reproduce
This case must be from a specific place, not a country-wide issue.
The dems are having another lousy year. Ain?t it grand!!
The rats are losing their rotten minds over the SCOTUS already.
Bad day for the dnc filth. Should be everyday.
GREAT day for the USA and MAGA.
