Great collection you got there. I have one lonely WASR 10 for now. The next one I want to get is the Romanian PSL AKA FPK, Romak 3. Dragunov knock off.

Either that or a WASR 2? 5.45x39. One of the two. The 5.45x39 sounds better due to ammo prices, at least right now.

What about the Dragunov? I thought it was an AK variant..
I guess not, since Mr.K didn't invent it.
    This cat did..Yevgeny Dragunov.
I think i like Mr. Dragunovs instrument a little more.Sorry.
They sure look a lot alike to me!(I know these are both Dragunovs)

A real PSL / Dragunov is pretty rare and costs a few grand. It has a shorter stroke piston system than the Romanian FPK which probably helps reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise. I don't think Mr. Kalashnikov had anything to do with the design of the FPK other than designing the AK-47. The Romanian FPK is almost the exact same design as an AK-47 just chambered for 7.62x54R and with a longer barrel, gas tube, gas piston, and receiver. I'd love to have a real PSL, but an FPK will do for me.

if you really want a fun shooter that you couldn't hurt with a tank, get the Romanian SAR-2 in 5.45x39mm It's all romanian military grade components and no US stuff mixed in. It is far more reliable than the imported kit built rifles and is affordable. AIM surplus has the best price I have found so far on ammo for it..

check this one out.. too high on price but it is ideal. the wood is good for use as a baton when you are out of ammo. :)

Centerfire Systems has an interesting version of the Romanian PSL, the AK-FPK. It's a PSL converted to accept AK furniture, and the barrel is shorter. Kickass little outfit IMO![8D]

That's a cool rifle. Centerfire systems is selling regular FPK's for $450!
