How many of you have sent a vital spring sailing across a room never to be found again? [:D] Just happened to me the other day. I ordered a new one and put it back in my kel-tec P11 a couple days ago. I'm glad to have it back in action. What springs for which guns have you lost?

Good to see you back on the GD side. You're spending too much time in politics[;)]
Haven't lost a spring, but there's an allen wrench that about as big around as a safety pin hiding somewhere on my workbench. I'd dearly love to see it again.
Need if for a trigger adjustment.[;)]
The 30 Carbine extractor spring and plunger is a good example. They will disappear if you're not ready for it.
Cost me about $40 buck on fleabay for a bag of misc parts for 1 set screw! I still have the bag of parts. Figured I'd someday find another 241 missing something.
Used a piece of nylon air hose until I bought it.
I sleep so much better at night
And tear Down a M60 Incorrectly and the Buffer will Kill you or stick in the wall on the other side of the room. Been there done that didn't die so it stuck in the wall.
Contacted H&K and they sent me a couple for free. Wait a tick was that the rear Millet adjustable sight story? [:D]
Funniest one was the firing pin retainer for a Jennings 22. Launched that one when I forgot to drop the striker before disassembling. Looked for hours to no avail but finally found one in a parts bin at the gunshow that weekend. Two weeks later, I found the original in the pocket of a pair of pants that had been in the laundry when the part was lost. Apparently, it had traversed the basement, bounced off a floor joist, and fell into the laundry basket where it ended up in the jeans pocket.
Built an AR so Yes I've lost a Spring now have extras just in case.

Had a cook reclass in our shop at Ft. Hood who damn near killed himself removing the top cap on a 4.2" mortar standard. Put a pretty good hole in the ceiling.
Usually find them, but again, usually after I have replaced them. Just put the found ones back in the box with all the other replacement springs, detent balls, and pins that I keep for when one goes airborn.
