I need a new dog

We get coyotes in here sometimes, they won't quite come up to house when I'm outside with the shotgun but they have snuck in and swiped a barn cat before while we were sleeping. Now that we have the calf they concern me and thier yipping in the distance outs me on alert.
Bry'Ann woke me up a little bit ago and told me she heard them outside, I sneak out in the dark, shotgun in hand and I can tell they are a few hundred yards away. The horses are calm so I know they haven't been to the house. I came in and got the dog, figured put him outside and he'll let me know if they get too close.
I would try to call them but I don't need them getting closer. So out the dog goes in hoped that he woukd be a good deterrant and a good alarm. Ohh no, this 100# chicken hears one coyote sound off and comes crashing back in the house scared out of his wits!
He'll try to scare the UPS or Fed Ex guy out of the county but he'll let other people pull right in the diveway and not make a sound. He is scared of jackrabbits and will run like a fool to get away from one and now we see a yipping coyote will send him right under the bed.
I think I'll go get a couple Min Pins, they are braver than this 100# shepard [:(!]
Nah, screw that, I'm gonna dress this dog in a pink tutu then go get a pair of Rotties to guard the house

The Llama is pretty cool he will let you pet him but from what I hear they are death on coyotes. They eat about anything and are good company to the horses and cows.
I have heard they make a good pack animal for packing out meat. I was told they are not as shy around blood and the smell of the animal as a horse, especially when packing out a bear or a cat. They can carry more than a mule pound for pound and they are sure footed animals.
