AR-15 question

I finally got a chance to take the Bushmaster out and it shot great! But, after about 150 rounds I started getting failures to extract the shell casing. I decided that the rifle must have gotten dirty and went home to clean it. During my cleaning I discovered the reason for the problem, the bolt carrier key had come loose. I tightened the allen head screws down, but now I'm worried that it'll loosen up again. Has anybody else had this problem? If so, did you use any type of thread locking compound to keep it from reoccurring?
Thanks,

I'm beginning to think that an AR is an AR is an AR. Just get a receiver and build yer own.
Has anyone tried that? Is it common uncommon?
Thx in advance !
Should I, Can I, Or do I have to register the lower as a SAW pistol, or a SBR??? Anyone here have a a thought???
Takes less than 5 seconds to remove the scope.

Most scopes on flat tops use QD mounts.
Takes less than 5 seconds to remove the scope. (if you have a multi-tool or wrench in your pocket, or the GG&G accu-cam mount.)
CP
all my scopes are mounted with the GG&G accu-cam.

watch the video, works great, just roll your gun slightly leaving your cheek weld in tact
In the army, my ACOG scope did have quick releases on it but in my unit all accountable items on a rifle were to be wired down with lacing wire. I don't recall what I did with the flip-up iron sights that I may have been given for my rifle but a picture of me when I was deployed does not show them installed so I guess if my scope failed I would be effective out to 50m.
Most importantly, if you are depending on your rifle to always work as you seem to be implying by wanting a backup, then you should treat it with the care necessary to keep from breaking it. If you are hopelessly clumsy then use military grade parts as those are required to stand up to above normal abuse.
The newer style Bushnell Red/Green T-Dot has a set of back up sights attached right to the top of the sight itself.
Forgot I have this scope.
