Video Of Rancher Killed By Feds Shows Why He Was Angry - BLM Stole His Water

No matter what you think about the standoff in Oregon, this video shows rancher LaVoy Finicum was a man who was just trying to get by. All he wanted to do was feed and water his cows, and to take care of his family. It is stunningly heartbreaking that a man who merely wanted to keep his livestock fed and watered, was shot down in a dispute over the federal government's totalitarian control of public land.

If you know the story of the "Oregon Standoff," this video will make you cry. A good man, who just wanted to feed his cattle, was gunned down in Oregon, standing up to a government that stole water meant for his livestock. He was so angry with a government that made his already hard life, harder, he took a stand. This is the plight of ranchers across America who are barely subsisting under the Obama administration.

Share this video liberally. Our government killed a good man. A man who was just trying to get by, and who was just trying to take care of his family.

Rest in peace, LaVoy, rest in peace.

Too bad. I saw the video this morning. Excellent job. Too bad thus fight wasn't 25 years ago when the American socialists started running ranchers out of the west.

A lot of people said things like "he asked for it", and other remarks about violating the law and taking over federal property. But if they knew why this was going on they might have a different opinion.
This has been going on for many years, with the BLM trying to buy all the property in this area, harassing and intimidating owners to sell out, cancelling legally obtained access to water and grassland, jailing people on trumped up charges, etc. It is unbelievable what our government gets away with while blaming citizens for wanting their own rights to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
Now outright murder, yes I said murder as I see it.
    Thanks for the link, kimi.

There's something here I don't understand. LaVoy said the spring was on his ranch which he had a deed for. Did he buy the ranch giving away half his water rights or is the spring on BLM land which he might have claimed as part of his ranch and BLM leased him water rights? It makes a big difference. The reason I ask the question is Cliven Bundy calls BLM land "his ranch".

Bundy and Finicum might or might not have been of the same mind on that subject.

In any event the FBI has some serious answering to do. They messed this thing up pretty bad, but it isn't as clear cut as Ruby Ridge or Waco.

He may have had a just grievance about the water, I can't figure it out, complicated.

But, he did try to run the roI want fees to go up and he ran around in the snow, and he reached for his left pocket, which made him susceptible to getting shot. He badly mishandled the last minute of his life on this earth.

I have no real insight into Finicum's dispute. I know the Hammond's situation very well, for reasons that I will keep to myself. If Finicum's dispute was of the same nature, what the BLM, FWS, or some other alphabet agency has done is likely a broken contract, an arbitrary new set of overly restrictive rules based on the needs of some creature no one has ever heard of before, or an outright takeover...all of which unethical and likely illegal actions have been appropriately blessed by the appropriate authorities and courts. Because the government wouldn't do anything they aren't supposed to. Everyone knows that.

All for the greater good, of course. Blessed by the environmental loons, their democratic accomplices, and the uninformed masses in this country who don't care...until it is their pond, stream, or property the government sets its sights on.

Then they will wonder who is going to help them.

"he ran around in the snow, and he reached for his left pocket"

So what? At that point HE HAD NOT DONE ANYTHING NOTABLY THREATENING. He ran off the road w/o hitting anyone/anything. He exited his vehicle with hands raised. The fuzz were obviously waiting for him as the final shot was fired by a uniform who had been hiding in the trees. None of the video I saw showed any indication of when the bullets started hitting Finicum so "reaching for his pocket" might have been a response to a bullet strike. At that point, there was no reason for any of the fuzz to be exposed as they had adequate cover from which to control the situation and get the guy proned out. "Running around in the snow" isn't a capital offense. All they had to do was wait for him to cool off but they were determined to notch their pistols and an unarmed individual in the open was fairly safe. Matter of fact, the roI want fees to go up was almost directly in the line of fire of the shooter who came out of the trees and shot Finicum in the back. The murderers were in far more danger of "blue on blue" than from the citizen they mudered.
If you were there you wouldn't be talking and I'll guarantee those who were there will say exactly what they're told to say.
BTW I don't know where "the roI want fees to go up" came from.

similar govt actions have and are taking place in kansas..though lots less aggressive at this point it could escalate...neighbor had a water right of 18"/acre a year but would not send in the annual report..a neighbor and i pushed him to do it to no avail...water board finally chopped it to 3"/acre a year and rightly so...at the same time the marsh in NE corner of county under govt control who had also FAILED to send in annual reports for a period of time demanded and went to court to get 27000 ac'ft a year was finally held to 14000 ac/ft a year by the courts ...BUT..they still are pushing every year to get what they wanted and our taxes support this grab while we have to pay our own bills to resist the taking... with a moratorium on drilling irrigated land is a limited and separate larger economy compared to dryland ag and is bringing premium prices..that is why i sold..weary of all the one way rules and regulation...one can NEVER add to a water right and every action requires a reduction happily called a conservation deduction...since irrigating from 1976 all my annual usage of max allowed has averaged around the 80+% range...conservation enough say i now our economic disaster of a governor has started a 50 year water plan with the state and local water boards and plans are in it to get the feds involved as a third layer (on top) and that will disappear any realistic local control...

They are already corralled in the cities and the sheeple are more manageable. The independent farmer, rancher or mountain man is not.

America now is ripe to usher in The NWO. All is left is to have a World-wide money collapse then have a cashless money scheme and tag all citizens into the system and repeal the second amendment so the rulers have no fear of a violent overthrow of their oligarchic powers through a so called democracy with one caveat they pick all the candidates with use of their power. You must be politically correct in all things they deem as right and just.

Just like in Any totalitarian government!

I believe that this is the way Finicum wanted this to end. He has said many times that he will not go to jail. He could have given up when both vehicles were stopped by the first group of cops. He chose to run from them only to run into the other group of cops. By exiting his vehicle, he had to know what was going to happen.
I guess Ammon Bundy was not ready to take it as far as Finicum because he gave up as soon as the cops pulled him over.

This was a planned execution, stack the cards just right and hope it plays out as planned. Part of the plan was no cameras on the ground or lie about not having cameras on the ground, no cameras on the ground means thier story is the only story. The "eye in the sky" only shows what they want us to see and helps back thier story. A well planned execution made to look like self defense. By adding a dead body to the mix furthers thier agenda and it took the wind out of the sails of the protestors, it was a reality check.

I lost a lot of respect for both sides. If you are foing to make a stand, make the stand and don't back down, they showed weakness and fear. The uniformed executioners, my opinion of law enforcement is lower now seeing what lengths they will go to for thier own agendas. They commited premeditated murder and tried to up the body count by firing into the vehicle after they had a body on the ground.

for those who say Finicum ask for it,it looks to me like with the FBI and arrogantly bragging about murdering the man. actions have consequences. that can be interpreted a lot of different ways.

    Bingo! We have a winner!

There is absolutely no justification in shooting the vehicle, no matter what you want to believe about the shooting of Finicum, which is not warranted.

This shows exactly what was planned, if they couldn't execute a simple plan that a rookie fresh out of training can do, then what they did was what they planned.

Don't miss the 'big picture' here.

Currently the government controls the food supply from planting to shipping to processing ~ and that includes the approval of genetically modified food.

50 years ago, some echoed concerns about a water shortage and most water sources are under government control in one way or another.

Control the food and water & you control the population.

I pointed this out last week, many of the members I waited to respond never did and some who did respond didn't fail to dissapoint. I'm noticing that it is far easier to just sut and * about issues then when a group has had enough they wish to pass judgement because they didn't just sit and * but instead acted. I've been involved in cival disobediance and protests by helping to block interstates, by doing so those who have no clue why we did it passed judgement instead of finding out why. Same thing here, the BLM has no direct effec on thier daily lives so why should they support the protest? Instead when they see they rattled the feds they become fearfull of backlash and commence to passing judgement in favor of the fed winning hoping this earns them brownie points with the feds who they think monitor every typed word. Me, I don't care, I support the protest and am a little disapointed they gave up.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but the government already controls the population, even to the way we think. It's not just the other guy. The Second Amendment is a good example. The Second Amendment is clear that we have a RIGHT to keep and bear arms. Then states started issuing "concealed carry permits", government permission to exercise a RIGHT. That made us happy. Then there were reciprocity agreements between states which gave us permission to exercise that RIGHT outside our home state. We were jubilant. Now there is a bill in the Senate for universal reciprocity which has a fair chance of passing. We think we are winning the battle. We could get permission from government to exercise a RIGHT.

Sheriff Ward may have a rough road ahead. His experience was as a correction officer, until he became a Harney County deputy in 2008 or so. He was appointed sheriff by the County Court last year, and has to stand for election this November.

He hadn't exactly impressed the community prior to this episode, and did little to improve his standing. If he is elected to office, I will be surprised.
