Today, I went to the local gun show. I ended up with a few knives, but also a bad impression from a lot of the sellers there. Out of the 11 I talked to, 8 were rude and just seemed to not care, the other 3 were amazingly helpful. One of the guys who was rude to me, actually was about to make a load of money off of me, but I was deterred by his attitude. Just my rant, anyone else have similar experiences at shows?

I attended the Roanoke Va. gun show today, i have never in my life saw such a line at the ticket counter. Was about 150 yds. long. and they had to open extra booths. There was a nervous excitement i have never before seen at a show. The guy beside me in line had a semi-auto pistol that he had bought from a fellow outside before he got into line. Dozens asked him how much he was selling it for, he replies not selling, just bought it.
Prices were not bad. I went just too find some milsurp ammo (7.5 swiss) but found none so bought a few 40 mm ammo boxes (18x10x6)for storing hunting gear and a milsurp manual for my No.4 enfield.

Tim Garret's gun show this weekend at the Fairgrounds, Ft Smith, Arkansas. Don't think I will set up, just go look see. Maybe carry my newly finished BSA Martini in 25-20, to hear the dealers say "What do you have there?".

Went to the first gun show in a while, really depressed.
I was walking up found a cell phone, I walked in, there was a long line, I had the security use the intercom, if any one lost a cell phone, finally one g showed up, he was so happy, he should have paid my admission.

Stay away from the "Rocky Mountain Gun Show", wherever you find one!
It's $7 to get in, only about 80 vendors, and twice the price of any other gun/ammo seller ANYWHERE. No jerky or jewelry, but there are home remodelers, roofing contractors, stucco salesmen, and appliance repair booths.
Went (got suckered into going) to one last year; walked around the room once and left. Examples are; box of Remington Thunderbolt 22 ammo for $12, bag of 9mm loose rounds (maybe 30?) for $25, Winchester 94 Trapper in 357 mag with extra scope mount holes (6 of 'em), plastic forend, no buttplate, Bicentennial markings for $850, MKII Ruger for $500 with no mag, Inland M1 carbine sans sling, bayonet & mag for $1650, and the epitome of a ripoff show, a $450 Mosin-Nagant straight from CAI.
Supposed to be one of these "shows" here pretty soon, here's hoping they run out of gullible people before they get here.
I went to the big Reno gun show this weekend, at the Grand Sierra. It was definitely big. Prices were so so. I saw bricks of .22 for $58. So, still too high in my not so humble opinion. Other ammo was okay. I saw LOTS of people departing with cartons of .223 and 7.62x39 stacked up on two wheel carriers. Good sized crowd. $12 cover charge to get in. It was so big, I got tired and left before I could visit every table. [:)]
I reckon starting next year here in California it's going to be a slow sale years for AR/AK style rifles. Handguns will pick up the slack of the AR/AK slow down.
We had the Big Show in Reno last weekend. Miwall, the local wholesale ammunition vendor was doing a huge volume of sales to folks from California in advance of the new ammunition law going into effect in California. It looked like prices on AR's and accessories have already started to come down a bit. I managed to find An IBM 30 carbine receiver, unissued, in the original government packaging for 250.
