and not get the news. It's amazing how many get busted trying to take loaded handguns on the plane in their CARRYON bags. Doh! [:o)]

which ones live in caves? The ones who make the laws or the ones who break them?

Very insightful question. Probably both. Why do I lose my right to self defense just because I'm riding in an airplane? I wonder how many planes would have made it to the WTC if some of the passengers were packing.

Yep, the problem is that the liberal mind-set thinks that if 1 person in a million (just a guess) would use a firearm for evil purposes, then the other 999,999 people should lose the right to have them. With their mind set, we ought to outlaw cars because someone ran over their spouse in a fit of jealousy

And to the libtards that would argue, "But if they had started a shootout with the hijackers who knows what might have happened.", I say "Yeah, it might have turned out MUUUUCCCCHHH WOOOORRRSSSE.
    NOT!!"[:D]

Recently had an early morning flight out of Cortez CO. While we we waiting for TSA and airline folks to get their stuff together, noticed older gent (rancher type) wearing a vest, and a folding Buck knife in a leather belt case, just ahead of me, waiting to board.

Quietly spoke to him, told him if that was a knife, he was about to have problems- it could go in his checked bag, but not on him.

He was surprised- said he had not flown in 25 years, did not know, put it in his checked bag, thanked me.
