7 yr old Handcuffed & Interegated for 10hrs

The arcticle says the 7yr old picked up a $5 bill of the ground while in line for lunch & a fight followed. Some SOB called the cops! They answered a call for robbery & assault.[:0][}:)]

They took the kid "downtown".

Now I can understand the cops wanting to scare the kid to straighten him up, keep him from going down the wrong path, but I think this was excessive for a 7yr old. I think they could have done this a lot different.

Here's the million dollar question. With all of the stuff in the media lately, is this all of the story, or even truthful reporting[?]

But what lesson are they teaching? How many times have we picked up some money and actually looked around to see if someone near by dropped it? I know I have. I definitely think that is ridiculous, handcuff a 7 year old, then interrogate him...

all part of george bush's program "no child left behind" it falls under "accountability"

this happens everyday in America, both my sons where arrested in school, first one for throwing a snowball, and second him and his best friend was shoving each other, both got arrested for assault, but they where older and in high school

Back in my grade school days, if 2 kids got caught fighting they had to set up 50-60 folding chairs in the gym then go up on stage and box with giant boxing gloves on! 10-12 kids would show up to watch them duke it out. Afterwards, the 2 fighters would have to put all the chairs away and scrape gum from the bottoms! (There was no gum chewing in our school and we always wondered where the gum came from!) Then sweep the gym and walk home as friends!!
My oh my, how times have changed.............I don't like the new world we live in.

The kid was not even the one who picked up the money. The pother kids let it slip who did it after the kid was in jail a while.

What the heck is going on here? What are those people running our schools thinking? They need my old grade school PRINCIPAL , MISTER STAGERS , to run things. He would get to the truth and take care of the problem. Nobody lied to MISTER STAGERS twice.[:I]
There are 3 kinds of people in the world. Those who can do math and those who can't. :?

The kid had to remain cuffed for everyone's safety. He had been studying moves from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If they let him loose, he would have OWNED that police station. [:D][:D]
