Thre is no such thing as "rights"

I hear it all the time, "i have a right to medical care or a right to a job or a right to own a gun blah blah blah" First of all any so called right that requires some action from someone else to pay for your right is not a right because what if people stopped working and decided they wanted that same right. What about a right to own a gun. ha! You have that right except in some states and in the states that do allow you to excersise that "right" it has to meet some conditions. You have a right to own a shotgun unless it is less than 18 inches then you ain't got no right no mo. What about full auto? isn't that a right? And who enforces these rights? the courts? now that's a laugh. Don't bother arguing with a cop. He doesn't have any concept of a right. All he knows is to arrest you or ticket you and then you fight it out in court. Their idea of a right might be a whole lot different then yours and if it was a right why were you arrested in the first place? Property? tell me just what exactly do you own? You don't even own your own life. you sure don't own "your" land. Rights smights. It is only in your head. Let me sum it up. It's all one big joke. A right is only a right if it can be enforced and the way it works is you have to be the one doing the enforcing. about the only thing we can do is jury nullification and 99% of the american people are too stupid to know about it or actually use it.

    the right to own a gun is outlined in the 2nd amendment...

    its not the founders' fault (and neither is it my fault) that people prefer to vote for dingbats who will give them "faux rights", such as "free" healthcare and the perverted satisfaction of beating the crap out of weaker nations over pitiful excuses

    the rights we traditionally delineated as such were negative rights, i.e. the right to be left the hell alone by the government and others.

    The recent raft of "rights" handed out by the government and courts are overwhelmingly positive rights, i.e. the right to access the wealth and resources of others through govt. compulsion and the right to interfere with others' actual negative rights.

    There was a great episode on Dumb Criminals a couple of nights ago. Two cops are trying to get this handcuffed drunk to acknowledge his rights and he is ignoring them, claiming his yarbols (read Clockwork Orange) itch. One finally just demands, "Are you going to answer me or not?" The guy (in cuffs behind his back and dancing around) asks, "Will you scratch my yarbols for me?" The cop, "NO!". The guy, "Then I'm not gonna answer you." Hilarious. [:D][:D]
