If Ben Rothesburger settled out of court for rape wouldnt that be rendering the use of a prostitute? Also if she was raped why take any money i would settle for no money but hound him till he dies. If he did it i hope he rots in hell.[:(] And if she is lying may she rot in hell. Although i doubt all 3 women are lying. Whats worse is i am a Steeler fan for 38 years.

I read a report where he Gets Drunk a lot, and hangs out in seedy clubs, where the women are questionable at best...

I wasn't there so I have no idea what actually happened. Maybe she's a sister scamming a celebrity for cash, maybe she was a little tipsy and things went further than she wanted, maybe he's a sexual predator. If she really felt exploited perhaps her attorney figured the case was too weak for a criminal trial but good enough for a settlement demand and his attorney figured it was easier and cheaper to just pay.

On the surface nobody looks good in this situation AFAIC. Women shouldn't get drunk at parties then claim rape. Men shouldn't be having sex with drunk women. Celebrities need to realize they are targets.

can i get a list of these "seedy" clubs ?

unless of course by "questionable women" you mean gender, and not prowess of women

thats just to damn funny right there [:D]

back to the original subject, it puzzles me how people can publicly convict one person of a crime, and exonerate another before a conviction

and by taking monetary gain, for being raped makes them a prostitute, would this mean its ok to rape a woman as long as you leave her a 50 dollar bill, or is there a standard rate ?

I attended that little college in Milledgeville Ga where Big Ben got into trouble.

In my two years down there I found lots of cute coeds who were "ready, willing, and able." Yeah, I was a jock but I was a mere college soccer star.

For a handsome NFL quarterback it would be a piece of cake to have a sexual conquest in that town, Ben must have a screw loose to have gotten in to such a jam.

Once, I give the benefit of the doubt to him.
Twice, same MO, I start to question his character and his truthfulness.
Thrice, he should be in jail for sexual crimes, not playing pro ball.

The fans accept too much from these pigs.

If I was out looking for ******* I would be very careful of where I went and what I choose... Onr doesnt have to go to a TRASH BAR, or a House of Ill repute to find willing and able women...[}:)][}:)]I could suggest a couple places but it might piss someone in here off..However for a quick turnover,, I suspect the Trash Bar is the best place to look....[:o)][:o)]

The problem is that having an established "MO" can be, and may have been, used against him by a scammer. Let's say a dishonest woman sees you are in town and has heard about your past troubles. (Isn't the internet wonderful?) She also knows what the other women have CLAIMED as an MO. If she wants some nice $$$ of hush money she knows that all she has to do is set you up and claim the same MO. The average Joe on the street is going to jump to the conclusion "Not THIS again. Doesn't that guy EVER learn?" Guilty, whether true or not. As for Ben, whether he ever actually attacked ANY of those women or was set up, he is in a hard spot. He should avoid being alone with any women he doesn't have full trust in. Get himself a nice travelling wife or girlfriend to take with him on these trips. Picking up unknown (possible golddigging) women locally will be VERY risky for HIM for years to come. [;)]

The biggest problem for us guys, especially when alchohol is involved, is that there are usually no witnesses and the court is put in a "he said, she said" situation. Sometimes the case will never go to trial in those circumstances. Other times, if the DA thinks he can portray one as "Sister Mary Virginious" and the guy as "Slobbering Troll", he can win a "he said, she said" case. A settlement is also NOT an admission of guilt. If a woman claims she is going to make your life a living HELL for the next several years and totally muddy your reputation, unless you pay her $100 dollars, you just might take her up on the offer. What if the offer is for $1000 or $10,000 or $100,000 or $1,000,000? The level of extortion you might be willing to pay is going to depend largely on your assets. For may of us, a few hundred might be our limit to "make it all go away" and claims higher than that would be refused and we will go to trial. But for some of these celebrities, $100,000 or $1,000,000 is pocket change and is worth it to make the Bi*** go away quickly and stop dragging your name through the press. So, next time you see a settlement, keep in mind that doesn't mean he's guilty. It could simply mean that to HIM, giving away what he considers to be chump change is worth it to get rid of the reporters.
