Scored two cases of Federal American eagle ammo and a case of CCI ammo today. I paid 230 for the federal and the cci was a gift for doing a friend a favor. I won't need anymore 22 for a long time.

    I glad someone's getting some, last Saturday morning went to Cabela's, Gander, Fleet Farm and nothing. The gun show had one dealer with a table full of .22's all at double retail prices....and no buyers.

    No, I think Doc said he had 10K rounds or so awhile back. If he decides to sell the ammo, then Doc's BP will begin to rise.

    You got a deal. I tried three stores today and got a total of 100 rounds of Blazer. [xx(] The one store had a big stack of Blazers but a 2 box limit. Another had Federals at $19.99/50. Passed on those.

    Thinking just maybe I got this buying habit under control. Been a bit out of hand, spending too much money just because the price was right.

    A few weeks ago I started trying to lay off the .22 ammo buying compulsion. Canceled my WikiArms email alerts. Ignored a number of opportunities to order from Cabelas. For the first time this year I have no orders in the pipeline.

    A fellow at work offered to sell me (at a loss he said) 800 rounds of .22LR CB he'd bought by mistake. He only has a 10/22, I have bolt actions and revolvers too. Declined the offer, never even got to talking price.

    Managed to stay out of the usual Walmart's too. Bunch of those around Phoenix AZ, damned things are like weeds here. I know it was morbid curiosity dragging me in them places.

    So, hey, guess I'm contributing to the rise in the general supply for other folks this way huh? [:D]
