My friend living in CA says he can't find any stores selling American flags days before the 4th of July. PC kowtowing to the community organizers gone wild?

What town/city in California? I checked Home Depot's near the Mexican border, in LA and near Berkeley for what's available in-store today. All had multiple sizes.
