    Several years ago there was a Class Action Suit against Remington concerning shotgun barrels. As I recall the Lawyers took about 50% of the settlement and those that participated received 30-40 bucks per barrel.....


    Seems like the lawyers made out well, which was the reason the dirtbags filed the claim.

    I got something in the mail a few years ago, regarding a class action against Remington on behalf of 870 shotgun owners. I have no idea what was supposedly wrong with the 870; I have two of them and neither has ever given any problem. Neither has failed to work, and neither has jumped up and shot anyone on its own.

    The letter had instructions on what to do if I wanted money from Remington. I tossed it in the trash.

    I might feel differently should Remington want to settle up for some of the real TRASH they have made, but for a 700? Nah.

    Same here but 1903A1 by the serial number. Someone sporter'ized it in the '50's or 60's I'd guess. Puts the holes in the paper just as it is supposed to do, so no complaints.

    Now if I'd bought that brand spank'n shiny new Remington R51 pistola they were trumpeting so loudly and I was rather fascinated by, I'd be a wee bit more than pissed off!

    Oh heck, I'm pissed at them anyway just on general principle. But I've no cause to sue them.
