Anyone wanna take a shot at this one? I personally think this is pretty gross, but to each his own I suppose. I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it, even if I just won the lottery...

If I had the cash and it went cheap enough I'd buy it just to have a 8 shot 30-06 truck gun.

I see it like this, somebody already chopped it up and made it look like crap, might as well find a use for it. Actually, it'd probably make a good cheap deer rifle. I prefer a shotgun for behind the seat duty anyhow. If I get some money in the next few days and it stays under $250 might just place a bid.

I had a change of heart. That would make a great gun for your penguin hunting expedition to Antarctica!

Yes, the government cut the receiver to demill it, and somebody welded it back together....

Not a problem. Silly critters just stand there and pose for you weather you have a camera, a gun or an oar from a rowboat poised to whack them with.

This one was trying to show us his "good side". Freak'n prima-donna Penguins!

    What, no bayonet lug?

Actually, I'd buy it -- and shoot the heck out of it. But I wouldn't pay much for it.

I'll buy almost any good shooter if the price is right and if it was only shot once a year on the first day of deer season I get real interested.

    PS

I also like cars that were only driven by little old ladies to church on Sundays.

That is kind of ugly. Kind of like those sporterized Johnson rifles they made in the 50"s.
    Here is one

Here is another one I found

Back in the 50's, we bought military rifles to hunt with--few of us just collected them. You could buy most any military rifle or pistol for $25-$35. If you spent a few more bucks to re-stock, etc. you had a hunting rifle. That's one of the reasons there was so little interest in Garands; it was hard to make a look-alike model 70 out of one. Actually that rifle is about as good a job as you could get if you wanted a Garand sporter. And as far as the cut receiver: if you wanted a Garand, that was the only way you could get one, short of stealing. The military was not releasing them and was cutting up the ones they didn't want. It was a much different time and us gun nuts had a much different attitude toward WWII surplus stuff.

No worse than the crap I see some guys doing to AR type rifles. Why can't folks just leave well enough alone?

Historic references suggest they had a greasy fishy taste, as their diet is 100% tiny shrimp. They actually poop orange, the color of the Krill they eat.

Shoot one of those birds with a .30-06 and you'd shred the thing, blow it to bits.

Plus pay a $10,000 fine if caught.

Anyway, I noticed this seller's ammo will close auction before the rifle. I think that's an oops. Somebody does buy that rifle they may be hotter to buy the ammo. I'd of spread those out 15 minutes apart, rifle first.

Someone will bid this up, wait and see.

If it was under $ 200.00 and a FTF purchase, I would seriously consider it. Take it out and shoot it where no one could see it.

Kinda like dating a... well I guess there is no need to go there.
